Rainbow Studio with Thomas Torstrup today

Today I spent some time in Rainbow Studio in Oslo recording with Thomas Torstrup(p), Trygve Fiske(b) and Tore Sandbakken(dr). The material we played are compositions by Thomas, he is a pianist I've known since my first year in Trondheim. This was my first time in Rainbow and I have no problem understanding why people talk so much about the place. The listening was great and it was fun and easy to play compared to my previous studio experiences. We were also lucky to have the fantastic Jan Erik Kongshaug behind the mixing table, it was really nice to meet him. Hope to go back there as soon as possible! If Thomas is happy with the recordings they will probably be released by the end of the year.
